Mentors
The function of the mentor
Each year, Aarhus University welcomes more than 600 exchange students from many different countries. Mentors are responsible for a crucial part of receiving the international students. A mentor is an AU student from the program in which the foreign student is enrolled.
Arriving as an exchange student in a new place can be an overwhelming experience. However, with a mentor at Aarhus University, students are eased into their new study environment. The mentor is responsible for assisting the international student with solving practical and administrative tasks related to their arrival.
At least as important is the fact that the mentors benefit from the contact with the foreign students and enjoy the experience of meeting other nationalities.
