IMAP

Before you can use SMTP (smtp-clients.au.dk), your username must be assigned the rights to IMAP. This is to prevent misuse with phished passwords. Please contact your local IT support, who can give you the rights. Find contact information to the right.

Use the following addresses for IMAP:

Settings for Exchange 2013

  • SMTP server: smtp-clients.au.dk - at port 587
  • IMAP server: imaps.au.dk
  • Connection security: SSL/STARTTLS
  • SMTP connections must be "authorized" with the same credentials as for the IMAP server
  • You must use SSL encryption for IMAP and TLS for SMTP

Limited support for IMAP

IMAP is offered as an alternative protocol only to clients not supporting Exchange. No helpdesk support is available. IMAP is only allowed when Outlook Anywhere or ActiveSync is not supported by the OS.

AU IT does not recommend the use of IMAP.
