Do you use personal data in your research?

Owing to the introduction of new, tighter rules in 2018, Aarhus University needs an overview of the processing of personal data at the university. Please respond to the questionnaire - whether you use personal data in your research or not.

On 25 May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. This regulation tightens some rules in relation to the current personal data legislation - including significantly higher fines and options for compensation claims. It is therefore important that Aarhus University complies with the forthcoming legislation, and that we have an overview of the activities involving personal data that take place at Aarhus University.

To get an overview we need your help. We need every researcher’s feedback on how they deal with personal data within their research. It takes only a short time to respond to the questionnaire - whether you use personal data or not - but all responses are important in the university's efforts to comply with the requirements of the new regulation, and thus to avoid fines and / or claims for compensation. So we really do need a high response rate, to which you can contribute.

The survey is anonymous, but please state which faculty and department / centre you belong to at the end of the questionnaire.

You can access the survey here

Please respond no later than 15 September 2017.
