Personal study portal for all students at the Faculty of Arts

For a long time now, AU students have been asking for better access to all the systems containing information about their degree programmes. Their wish is about to come true. Mitstudie.au.dk gives each individual student access to precisely the information they need. And they only need to log in once.

In the spring of 2017 students of Media studies and Scandinavian studies tested a new website that gives them access to their digital study environment. Mitstudie.au.dk, as the site is known, has now been adjusted and improved based on all their feedback (both positive and negative).

The system will be available for use by all the students at the Faculty of Arts in September. The other faculties at AU will be joining in during the autumn of 2017 and in 2018.

Clear and easy to use, with only a single log-in code

Students use their WAYF code to access mitstudie.au.dk, after which they are shown the following information:

  • Their current timetable
  • Their three most recent messages in BlackBoard
  • A list of the courses for which they are registered
  • Their academic regulations and degree programme diagram
  • News, events and the most important sub-sites on the study portal

They gain direct access to a range of different study administrative systems such as mit.au, STADS and digital exams, and they can also access their AU mail account.

They can even see all this information on their mobile phones or tablets.

Where does the information come from?

The information that students can see is retrieved from our existing systems (BlackBoard, Syllabus, Eddi and the Arts study portal, for instance). This means that the information is updated in the same way and in the same systems as always.

The difference is that students now use a single point of access for all the information they need. They will be guided to the right systems, gaining immediate access to information relating to their particular degree programme.

For instance, they no longer have to find their way around different versions of their academic regulations. They gain immediate access to the regulations that apply to them.

If you get any questions

If you get any questions from students about the content of mitstudie.au.dk, you are welcome to refer them to the Study Centre Arts as always.

If you or the students have any questions about the site itself, please send them to the support office at mitstudie@au.dk.

If you have any log-in problems or similar difficulties, Arts IT Support will be able to help.

This is also where you can see what the site looks like on the web and mobile interfaces.
