Unlike the previous terminology list which was only available in Danish, AU Dictionary can perform either Danish-English searches or English-Danish searches. This means that international staff (and students) can use the list to help with reading or writing university-related texts in Danish. Danish staff are also being encouraged to use the list to improve their communication in English, which will mean better information in English for international staff and students at AU.

AU Dictionary contains translations of several thousand AU-related terms, from the names of departments and administrative divisions to general educational terminology. 

AU Dictionary is integrated with the translation software the university’s translators use, which means that it will be continually updated with new terms proposed by translators in the course of their work. Staff and students are also encouraged to submit terms they need translations for, as well as more general comments and suggestions.
