Project status

This site presents the faculty’s current and upcoming building projects (conversions, renovations and maintenance) with a timeframe of more than a few days.

Current projects

Reducing AU’s climate footprint

Buildings affected: All AU buildings

Time frame: All AU buildings will be heated to a maximum of 21 degrees in the months when there is a need for heating. This will typically be from October to March, but this will vary depending on the outside temperature.

Comments: The maximum temperature of 21 degrees in all rooms is being introduced as a result of the university’s new climate strategy, the goal of which is to reduce the university’s total CO2 emissions from operations by 25% per cent in 2030. Read more about AU’s climate strategy.

Creating SpiseStedet at the Emdrup Campus

Buildings affected: Buildings X and A. In the autumn of 2020, maintenance work will be carried out on the outside shell of Building X. BYGST has signed a contract with the contractor responsible for creating SpiseStedet. During the autumn, the contractor will plan the project in detail and prepare for the construction work. This will involve installing a new staircase between X and A, a kitchen and a dining area.

Inconvenience expected: not known yet.

Timeframe: August 2020 – December 2021.

Reason: A new kitchen and dining area will be created, as well as a staircase up to MødeStedet (the current Main Hall).
