Instructions for the senior management team


Role

The members of the senior management team will be informed by the contact person for the management and involved in the emergency management work by the university director. If the university director is absent, a member of the senior management team must head the emergency management. Managers are often contacted by the press for interviews, and all statements to the press must be coordinated with AU’s head of press and communication. Any member may be directed to serve as management representative in the emergency response group by the university director.

The members of the senior management team who are present on site will usually act as management representatives in the emergency response group.

The deans will inform the heads of department (Aarhus BSS, ST, HE)/heads of school (Arts) about the emergency, and an agreement should be made with the university director about who will inform other stakeholders.

Tasks

  1. Send for personnel from the relevant Dean’s Office if necessary.
  2. Be prepared to become part of the emergency management team or emergency response group on site if necessary.
  3. Be prepared to take on the role of spokesperson if necessary.
  4. Inform the heads of department (Aarhus BSS, ST, HE)/heads of school (Arts)
  5. Inform other stakeholders by agreement with the university director.
