How do I log on and get access to WISEflow?

WISEflow can be accessed via

There are two ways to log on to the system:

  1. The first time you log on to WISEflow, you must use WAYF, using your regular user name and password from the AU self-service system If you have forgotten your password for, you can log on using your NemID (key card) and create a new password. Click here for a more detailed guide.
  2. The following times you log on to WISEflow, you may also use your NemID.

How do I get access to WAYF?

To log on to WISEflow, you have to use your WAYF login (see above). Your WAYF login is the same user name and password that you use to log on to

If you have not used WAYF before, you will be asked to create a password. You do that by logging on to using your NemID.  In the menu below your name, you will see the option to change your password. Type in the password you wish to use for your WAYF login. Then you must log out of and close the browser before you begin logging on to WISEflow.

You can now log on to WISEflow and other services that use WAYF login. You should use your AU ID (au1234) as your user name.

How do I receive messages from WISEflow?

It is recommended that you set up WISEflow to send you e-mails with notifications.

  1. Log on to WISEflow.
  2. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner and select "Edit profile" in the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the "Email" tab and turn on "Receive message" next to the desired email address(es). You may also add a new email address.
  4. Click "Save settings".
  5. To ensure that you receive emails from WISEflow, click the "Send testmail" button. If you do not receive an email from WISEflow, you should check your spam/junk filter.  If the email is caught by your spam filter, you should mark the email as “not junk/spam” in order to receive future emails from WISEflow directly in your inbox.

What do I do if the students have to hand in a paper as part of a group?

If the students hand in a paper as part of a group, then you must follow these guidelines for group exams.

How do I assign an examiner to an exam flow?

All employees at AU are automatically created as users in WISEflow the moment they log on to the system through WAYF. When the user has been “activated”, it is possible to search for that person in WISEflow. We therefore recommend that employees who intend to use WISEflow log in as soon as possible using their WAYF login.

If you are an examination administrator and need to assign an internal examiner to an exam flow, you should make sure that the person in question has logged in and the user has been activated. Only then will you be able to search for that person in the system and assign him or her to the exam flow.

External Assessors/co-examiners are set up manually in WISEflow. Send the external assessor's AU ID and current email address to WFuploads, so that the WISEflow team can create the assessor in WISEflow.

Before you send a request to the WISEflow team, you should try to search for the person in WISEflow using the person's AU ID.

Is it possible for the students to enter the name of an internal examiner?

If the students already know who will be assessing their exam papers, it is possible to insert an additional field on the official front page, and the students will automatically be assigned the correct examiners.

  1. Affiliate all potential internal examiners with the flow.
  2. Select "Choice of internal examiner" as an additional field on the official front page - the student has to fill in the field in order to complete and submit the exam paper.

Will I receive a hard-copy version of the exam papers?

No lecturers will not receive hard-copy versions of the exam papers. If there is a need to print the exam papers, it is up to the department to decide whether this should be a priority, taking into account the financial circumstances and resources.
