How to book train tickets

This is how to book a ticket on the website:

    1. Up to five passengers: Click ‘Order Tickets’

  3. Fill out the form with your travel details
  4. Click ‘Send bestilling’
  5. will then send you possible itineraries for your journey by email within 1-3 days. 
  6. You accept one of the itineraries
    1.  by responding to the mail. You can also propose changes if none of the proposed itineraries meet your needs.
  7. Once you’ve approved an itinerary, you’ll receive a mail with a payment link.
    1. If you selected EAN and entered the required information on the form, there will be no link. 
  8. You will then receive your ticket(s). 

Response times

  • Monday-Friday 08:00 - 16:00: normally within 24 hours
  • Outside normal working hours Saturday, Sunday and holidays: normally within 72 hours

 However, response times may be longer in some cases. For example, in connection with complex requests.

Ticket delivery

1st or 2nd class?

When selecting travel class (1st class or 2nd class), according to Aarhus University's travel policy, you should choose the option that is most appropriate and economical for Aarhus University in the specific situation. 

However, you should ask about the price difference between 1st and 2nd class; in many cases, the price difference between travel classes is relatively minor for travel abroad.
