Planned IT maintenance work

4 times a year, AU IT carries out maintenance work on a number of AU's IT systems and IT services. These periods are called maintenance windows. 

Maintenance windows always take place during the weekends and they are planned 4 year ahead. All dates are approved by the senior management team. See all dates on serviceinfo.au.dk. 

Communication about planned IT maintenance

  1. Reminder email about service window date
    To be sent to administrative centre managers and deputy directors
    To be sent 6-8 weeks before the service window
  2. Information email about the service window
    To be sent to the senior management team
    To be sent 4 weeks before the service window
  3. Notification of service window on medarbejdere.au.dk and studerende.au.dk 
    To be posted 2-3 weeks before the service window
  4. Notification of service window in various AU newsletters
    To be sent out on a running basis and 2-3 weeks before the service window at the earliest
  5. Information email to the system owner forum
    To be sent 3 weeks before the service window
  6. Information email to all employees
    To be sent 2 weeks before the service window
  7. Notices about the service window on AU’s Facebook page
    To be posted 1-2 days before the service window
