Four researchers from Aarhus University have just received the coveted ERC Starting Grants from the European Research Council.
Two researchers from Health have each received DKK 11 million for their research projects. Francesca Fardo investigates discrepancies in perceived pain and bodily damage, while Micah Allen explores how the active substances in cannabis affect our body and brain. The grants are from the European Research Council ERC, which is given to free and independent research that has the potential to lead to groundbreaking discoveries.
Entrepreneurs at The Kitchen, the entrepreneurs hub for researchers and students at Aarhus University, will now have easier access to early-stage entrepreneurial funding. This is because Aarhus University has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Denmark's largest start-up accelerator: Accelerace. Accelerace helps startups via intensive training courses and loan investments.
