The person responsible for introducing new employees to the workplace can order a welcome package in advance. This person might be a manager, secretary or colleague.
The welcome package is available in both Danish and English, and it consists of:

AU HR plans introductory meetings in Danish as well as English which are open to all new employees. Registration is required. The meetings take place in Aarhus, and the programme includes the following:
In addition to the practical information, the meetings give new members of staff a good opportunity to build a network at the university right from the start.

A welcome package and introductory meeting are offered to all salaried employees and PhDs. Part-time teaching staff and other non-full time employees are welcome to participate if their local manager wishes them to do so.

All AU employees have a responsibility to help welcome new "AU citizens". The new initiatives should make this easier, and AU HR encourages all units to agree on a standard procedure for introduction locally, which encompasses both the welcome package and the introductory meeting.
