The Academic Council

The Academic Council ensures cooperation in academic matters, including internal distribution of grants and matters relating to research, talent development, education and knowledge exchange. In addition, the council is involved in composing the committees that are to evaluate applicants for scientific positions and award the PhD and doctoral degree. The Academic Council can also make statements to the principal.

The Academic Council is composed of representatives from the scientific staff (VIP), including employed PhD-students, who are elected for 4 years at a time, student representatives (STUD) who are elected for 1 year at a time and representatives of the technical-administrative staff (TAP) (observer status). The Academic Council elects a chairman from among its members.
