Information about using classrooms in the spring of 2021

At some point during the course of week 50 (7-13 December), the timetables for the spring semester will have been adjusted and finalised. These timetables will be published for students and staff on 18 December. The faculty management team has decided how the use of classrooms should be prioritised after week 50.

These priorities are as follows:

  1. PhD courses
  2. Department and management meetings
  3. Seminars and similar events
  4. Ongoing adjustments and re-booking in connection with teaching
  5. Meetings with external parties

We ask all our departments and schools to register all their known activities and requirements for the spring as soon as possible. Please send these requirements to your usual UVAEKA team contact. After week 50 we will start booking these activities in accordance with the list of priorities. From January onwards, booking will be done on a first-come-first-served basis, but according to the priorities of the faculty management team as far as possible. Heads of school, directors of studies and school secretariat managers are entitled to make exceptions to the list of priorities.
The faculty management team is aware that these priorities and this decision may make it impossible to find extra hours for teaching at a later date because all the relevant rooms will have been booked for other teaching activities, department meetings etc.
