The visit from AACSB is now complete

This Wednesday, the AACSB accreditation panel left Aarhus again after giving feedback to the Dean's Office during their three day visit at BSS. The final decision on whether BSS will be awarded AACSB accreditation will be announced in autumn.

The AACSB accreditation panel (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) has today concluded its three day visit at BSS.

After two intensive days with meetings on Monday and Tuesday the three foreign deans, Michael Powell, Harry Garretsen and Susan Hart, who constitute the panel, spent Tuesday afternoon and evening evaluating the impressions, information and interviews. And, not least, they began the work with the written recommendation, which forms the basis of whether BSS will be accredited. The Dean's Office expects to receive the answer in October.

Wednesday morning before leaving the panel gave its preliminary feedback to the Dean's Office, says Svend Hylleberg:

“We have today completed a good and interesting visit from AACSB and received their feedback on the visit and on our report. Unfortunately, I cannot say much about the actual content in their feedback, as accreditation institutions require a certain confidentiality until the final written recommendation has been prepared and submitted to us. But it has been some good days, and they have had a thorough approach.”

“And once again, I would like to thank and send my recognition to the many people at BSS who have worked hard to get both the report and the preparations and the visit up and running. It has been a huge task, says Svend Hylleberg.

At present, a total of 672 institutions worldwide hold AACSB accreditation.

In September, BSS receives the last of the three visits from the international accreditation panels, Association of MBAs (AMBA).
