According to the Aarhus Fire Service incident commander, the alarm was set off by a fire detector in the basement below Building 2610 (S), likely because of an excess amount of exhaust gas.

The evacuation proceeded calmly and quietly, and after only a short while, the employees and students were able to re-enter the buildings.

The oral exam on the Executive MBA was interrupted, but the exam proceeded subsequently with no further changes or interruptions.
