New electric and hybrid vehicles at the school

The Aarhus BSS vehicles have been replaced as part of Aarhus University’s climate initiatives. Staff can now borrow new electric or hybrid vehicles at the school’s three locations.

Aarhus BSS has a number of cars which staff can use for work-related trips. As part of Aarhus University’s climate initiatives, these cars have now been replaced with more environmentally friendly options: electric and hybrid vehicles.

In the north-eastern corner of the University Park, you will now find an electric car, and at campus in Herning, there is an electric van. At Fuglesangs Allé, the school has chosen hybrid vehicles with tow bars because these cars are sometimes used for longer trips than what is possible on a single charge.

The cars at Fuglesangs Allé and in Herning are intended for use by all staff at the school, while the car in the north-eastern corner of the University Park is primarily intended for Aarhus BSS Building Services and the gardeners. However, it is possible to borrow this car as well if you reach out to Building Services and request a user.
