e-learning course about the rules for personal data

Here you can get access to an e-learning course about the rules for personal data. All staff members have access to the course. 


Access to the course

You get access to the course by clicking on the orange button below. If you are asked to sign in, please type in your AU username (AUID@uni.au.dk) in the space "Mail, telefon eller Skype"). If you are asked for a password, please type in the password you use to log on to your AU computer. 

Please notice that AU logs when you enter the course.

How to get started

  • You can start the course whenever you want. However, you must be aware that you may need to complete the course before a specific deadline, as agreed with your manager. 
  • The course lasts approximately 1 hour. 
  • The course can be accessed 24 hours a day. 
  • You can run the course on computers, tablets and smart phones. 
  • The course is partially containing speak. Please check whether your speakers or headphones are connected. 
  • If you have to stop during the course, the course will automatically remember which pages you already have visited. 

The course's form

Each module consists of one or more challenges that you must solve. If you need help to solve a challenge, you can always click on Data Dan. Data Dan knows everything about the rules for personal data, and he has  lots of tips on the what, why, how and when that applies to personal data.

Menu and navigation

In the course, you can find a number of navigation buttons:

  • On all pages, you can at the top right corner find a ressource button containing PDF's and links. 
  • On all pages, you can at the top left corner find a back button leading you to the previous page. 
  • On all subject-pages, you can find a forward button at the buttom of the page, which leads you to the next topic or to the main menu (depending on the numbers of topics in the module).
