AU Pure is an organisational unit under the Danish Royal Library. AU Pure is a central unit, and handles the following key tasks in Pure:
AU Pure is responsible for validating publications that have been published in their final version and have been registered in Pure. This task is performed by dedicated validators.
The validators verify the registration data in Pure and request the physical material when the information cannot be verified through online sources. You can read more about AU Pure validation practices.
AU Pure works proactively with the validation task. Therefore, we import validation-ready publications from Scopus in order to make as much data as possible readily available for e.g. management reporting.
Data maintenance and data quality cover several administrative tasks in Pure:
Ongoing data maintenance. This means that we clean master data, clean up external organizations, format the DOI and links correctly, and check that changes that have triggered re-validation meet our standards.
Preparation for AU Key Statistics. We ensure that validated publications comply with our general quality standards. We delete duplicates and scan Web of Science for publications that have not been registered in Pure.
AU Pure defines Best Practice for registering research output at AU, and manages the central support and training of system users.
In addition, AU Pure is responsible for the Pure website and communication to users. The Pure website contains user guides and the latest news related to Pure.
AU Pure coordinates and services the AU Pure Network, which is comprised of Pure contacts from Aarhus University, Aarhus University Hospital and the Danish Royal Library.
