News from the senior management team no. 8/2020

Special edition on the coronavirus: Hear what the chair of the board and the rector have to say about the situation at Aarhus University after the university started to close down on Wednesday evening 11 March.

Great recognition of AU’s handling of the coronavirus from chair of the board Connie Hedegaard

Aarhus University is in a quite unusual situation. The university has exercised a high level of due diligence by quickly closing the university, and the communication has been clear – both in relation to the things we know, as well as in relation to the things we do not know.

It is an enormous task to reorganise teaching and the work in general, and the organisation and well-coordinated management here show its strength by handling this huge task in a great way in this situation.

On behalf of the board, I would like to express great recognition of the way this situation has been handled – with precision, careful thought and with great authority.

AU’s rector: We must do this to the best of our ability
