Gradual reopening of AU: How is this unfolding in the administration?

Last week, with the permission of the ministry, we were able to start a partial, limited reopening of some of the research laboratories at AU. And the senior management team is engaged in ongoing dialogue with the ministry about how the next phases of the reopening of the university are to proceed.

A much-needed Easter break

Like so many other parts of Denmark, Aarhus University has been physically shut down since 13 March. And since I last wrote this blog, the government has decided to extend the period we all have to work from home - so far up to and including 13 April. Time will tell whether we can get back to work on campus after Easter.

It’s been a week since the most dramatic development yet in the coronavirus crisis here in Denmark: the prime minister’s press conference last Wednesday, when she shut down large parts of our society – including educational institutions – and sent non-critical public sector employees home, initially for a period of fourteen days.
