Election - What is the boards of studies

A board of studies can either cover a single degree programme or several related degree programmes at a department/school in which case each degree programme often has a reserved seat.

The precise work of a board of studies depends on how many degree programmes it covers, but it can, for example, be to develop proposals for academic regulations, to ensure that teaching evaluation is followed up and to approve exam schedules. Many boards of studies also lay down guidelines for credit transfer applications.
