SDG Network

Build SDG networks between AU, public stakeholders and private companies

On February 4 2019, Aarhus University organized a conference on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with focus on the development of sustainable solutions in partnerships between the university, public stakeholders and private companies.

New funding opportunity for AU staff

To support collaboration ideas arising from the conference, The Committee for Research and External Cooperation has decided to fund 2-3 SDG networks based on partnerships between Aarhus University, public stakeholders and private companies.

Activities funded through this call should also have a university broad appeal and involve at least two faculties. Networks should address one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. A key priority is to demonstrate a potential for attracting additional external funding of network activities and ensuring sustainability and impact beyond the funding period.

The Committee for Research and External Cooperation invites employees at AU to submit proposals.

Proposals submitted should demonstrate:

  • a clear vision for the network and outline of SDG relevance
  • cross-faculty participation (minimum of two faculties involved)
  • involvement of external partners with clearly defined tasks
  • a strategy for attracting additional external funding and ensuring sustainability and impact beyond the funding period
  • clearly defined milestones

Applicants are encouraged to incorporate relevant experience from international partners.
