“Aarhus University - like my current workplace - is a large, complex organisation that works for something of indisputable social value: research and education. I feel at home with both, and I’m looking forward to taking on the university’s financial management and its challenges ,” explains Rasmussen.

Rasmussen lives in the suburb of Viby with his girlfriend and their 9-year-old twins.

There were 24 applications for the position of deputy director for AU Finance.

Rasmussen will replace Søren Trangbæk, who was deputy director for the former AU Finance and Planning until the end of 2013. AU Finance and Planning has since been divided into two administrative divisions, AU Finance and AU Planning.
