Small fire in building 1445 and 1448

In connection with renovations on the ground floor of building 1445 at Aarhus University, a number of PVC pipes ignited Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. All were evacuated quickly from the building, and no one was hurt.

In connection with renovations on the ground floor of building 1445 at Aarhus University, a number of PVC pipes ignited Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

The ignited pipes caused a large amount of smoke to develop, forcing employees from AU Studies Administration, AU Communication and AU Knowledge to leave the building.

All were evacuated quickly from the building, and no one was hurt.

The fire department came quickly to the scene to begin putting out the fire, and they soon gained control. It is not yet known whether material damage has occurred.
