We're delighted to invite alumni, students and employees from Aarhus University to this very special event with an academic legend and accomplished speaker, Professor Robert D. Putnam from Harvard University. For decades, Prof. Putnam has been a leading scholar an advocate on social capital and the The London Sunday Times has called him “the most influential academic in the world today”. He consults widely with national leaders, including the last three American presidents, the last three British prime ministers, and the last French president. He's also written fourteen books, translated into twenty languages, including the best-selling Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community.

As a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, we have been given this unique opportunity to hear him speak on his recent work: Inequality and opportunity: a growing class gap among American young people and the implications for social mobility.
