Report an invention

If you have made an invention in connection with your employment at Aarhus University or

Central Region Denmark, you must report it to the AU Enterprise and Innovation team

These are the steps

  1. Download and fill out the reporting form that is relevant to your invention.
  2. Send the completed form to
  3. Await the receipt confirmation.

What happens now?


After we have received your report, the assessment phase begins.

In this phase, your invention will be evaluated in relation to:

  • Patenting opportunities
  • The market
  • Competitors

to assess the commercial potential of the invention.

A period of 2 months is allocated for the assessment phase.
