Two-step authentication is required for students to log on to AU-systems

Aarhus University is tightening IT security, and from now on two-step authentication will be required for students when they log on to Au’s systems.

As an employee you are already using two-step authentication to log on to a number of systems and the same requirement is now implemented for students. The decision has been made by the Senior Management Team backed by the Central Information Security Committee (CISU).

The change comes into force on 16 March 2022, and after this date two-step authentication will always be required for students to log on to systems such as:

  • Brightspace
  • Mitstudie.au.dk
  • Office 365
  • Panopto.

Students at AU has been notified of this change by mail and up until 16 March they will be reminded about setting up two-step authentication.

Students with problems installing two-step authentication can be advised to contact the local IT-support who are able to help.
