New joint login for all AU's IT systems

During the next few months a new joint AU login system will be activated at the Faculty of Arts. All the users who are affected by this will be contacted directly by Arts IT when it is their turn to make the change.

To make this easier for everyone, Arts IT will start activating staff in the new UNI AD. The change means that in the future you will only have to remember a single password when you log onto your computer, mit.au.dk or WAYF.

The change will affect all the staff at the Faculty of Arts, but it will happen in waves so everyone won’t be affected at the same time. The change will take place during the period from mid-November to mid-January. By that time all members of staff will have been activated in the new UNI AD.

Four days before your user profile is activated, you will receive an email telling you what to do. If the stated time for the change doesn’t suit your plans, you are welcome to contact Arts IT to get a new time.

Why are we making this change?

UNI AD will make AU’s IT systems more mobile and remove their physical ties. What this means is that you will be able to use the same username and password if you move to a new office or new department, or if you work at two different faculties.

You can’t keep your old username and password because they will be phased out and replaced by the new UNI AD username and password. If you forget to change your old username and password (or if you are prevented from doing so) within the four-day period, you can log onto mit.au.dk with your Nem ID card and change your access code there.

The change is expected to be smooth, and Arts IT will do everything it can to prevent any inconvenience.  Please feel free to contact Arts IT if you have any difficulties with this.
