The committee for research and external cooperation

Focus areas

The committee has selected five focus areas:

Recruitment and growth layer (coordinator Lise Wogensen Bach)

Women in research (coordinators: Lise Wogensen Bach and Anne Marie Pahuus)

External research funding (coordinator: Søren Rud Keiding)

Business cooperation (coordinators: Kurt Nielsen and Anne Marie Pahuus)

Interdisciplinarity (coordinator: vice-chair of the committee) 


The committee has established an e-science committee with representatives from all four faculties. 

Every year the committee follows up on the university's action plan for more women in research.

The committee gives advice to the Rector’s Office about research infrastructure, Open Access, Responsible conduct of research etc.



Duties and responsibilities

  • National and international research policy issues
  • Incentives and measures to strengthen the cooperation across the faculties, including allocation of funds from the university management's strategic management pool
  • Awards and members of foundations, committees, etc. and the prioritisation of projects to be awarded grants
  • Advice to the senior management team regarding Aarhus University Research Foundation’s fund allocation strategy and activities
