All users of WAYF have a primary affiliation to their home institution. At Aarhus Universitet this is one of the following roles: student, faculty, staff, alum, affiliate. The role student is assigned to persons registered as active students in the administrative system at the university. The role faculty is assigned to those with the designated as such in the administrative system while staff is assigned to the rest of the active staff. Graduates from Aarhus Universitet are assigned the role alum. Other individuals, e.g. applicants and former employees, are assigned the role affiliate .
