Info about event

Time

Monday 17 December 2018,  at 14:00 - 16:00

Location

Richard Mortensen Stuen, Stakladen

Attention. ERC applicants (starting, consolidator and advanced) – and those considering this.

Professor Georgina Born is a great ERC resource and has kindly offered to host a seminar for potential and confirmed applicants for either Starting, Consolidator or Advanced ERC grants. During the session an ERC applicant will also share hand-on experience with the ERC application process.

The seminar will be relevant for all potential applicants. Please join if you are considering applying, but not sure yet. There are often misconceptions about the ERC schemes that are very easy to address for those hesitating or unsure if it is right for them.

Therefore if you either know that you will apply for an ERC starting, consolidator or advanced grant or are considering this, please sign up with Lotte Holm (lho@au.dk) no later than Tuesday December 11.

Georgina Born has extensive knowledge about the ERC scheme. In 2010 she was awarded an ERC Advanced Grant “Music, Digitization, Mediation: Towards interdisciplinary Music Studies” (2010-2015). From 2008-2014 she was panel member of the ERC panel SH5 “Cultures and Cultural Production”, the panel for humanities and anthropology; and in 2014-15 she was Chair of SH5 for the mid-career panel. In recent years she has chaired and sat on a number of comparable European research grant awarding panels, and she has successfully coached a number of ERC applicants both at the proposal writing stage and for their interviews.
