Adjustments to the design of the AU employee webpages
We are in the process of making Aarhus University’s website more user-friendly. On 15 September, we are launching a revised design on the websites that contain internal information for employees. We have cleaned up the navigation structure of these pages.
We will be making a number of adjustments to the design of medarbejdere.au.dk and http://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/, the internal pages for all employees at AU, to make these pages simpler, clearer and easier to use.
These design adjustments will mean that the pages under medarbejdere.au.dk and http://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/ will be clearly distinguished from the external pages. The internal pages will be easier to find your way around in, because the navigation structure will be simplified so that it only includes the most necessary links.
The new design has been tested by users over the spring several times, and it has already been implemented on the staff portal for the Department of Chemistry, which has been using the new design for almost a month. See http://chem.medarbejdere.au.dk/en/
The main principle of the design is still that local staff portals are the primary starting point for employees when they search for internal content on the university homepage. Individual employees should be able to find as much information as possible directly from their own staff portal.
The implementation of the design will be carried out by the web editors of each unit in close collaboration with their communication partners in the administration centres.
