AU needs a new chair of the board in December

Aarhus University is starting to look for a new chair of the university board to replace Connie Hedegaard, who is due to step down at the end of November.

Aarhus University will need to have a new chair of the board when Connie Hedegaard finishes her term on 30 November 2022. By this time, Connie Hedegaard will have served two terms – eight years in total – on AU’s board and therefore, according to the university’s by-laws, cannot be appointed for another term.

The new chair will play an essential role in the further development of Aarhus University and will lead the board in its work on the university’s Strategy 2025. It is also the chair’s responsibility to ensure successful collaboration within the board, which consists of external members, staff and student representatives.

The chair of the board must be found externally. The position has just been announced on AU’s website and will also be published in newspapers and on social media.
