Speakers wanted at Circle U.nited for Sustainability
Are you a researcher with an interest in sustainability? And would you like to share your knowledge with students from all over Europe? Then contribute to the Circle U.nited for Sustainability event series this spring. Submit your contribution by 31 January.
As a researcher, you now have the opportunity to contribute the discussion on sustainabilty amoung European students. Circle U. is inviting researchers within a broad range of topics to present their thoughts and idas at the Circle U.nited for Sustainability event series, which takes place through spring 2026.
”Circle U.nited for Sustainability” consists of an online part (4 Wednesdays in February/March) and an in-person meeting in Berlin from 27 April to 1 May. It’s up to you which part you want to contribute to and you must submit your contribution bt 31 January 2026 (apply via this link).
Do you want to take part in the online sessions?
An online presentation can last up to 90 minutes and the format is completely up to you. Just note the following dates and topics:
- Global environmental problems & social justice (4 February 18:15 - 20:00)
- Green transitions in Europe (18 February 18:15 - 20:00)
- Inequality, justice & colonial perspectives (4 March 18:15 - 20:00)
- Co-creating change: shaping a sustainable Europe (18 March 18:15 - 20:00)
Do you want to take part in the in-person meeting?
The in-person part of ”Circle U.nited for Sustainability” takes place at Humboldt University in Berlin from 27 April to 1 May 2026. Here an international group of students will gather for an exciting week with a focus on sustainability.
As a researcher, you can contribute with a talk, workshop, case study or another interactive format. It’s up to you. As long as your contribution relates to sustainability in practice and preferably serves to create dialogue and discussion.
AU is able to cover the expenses for travel and stay for two participants and you will also get a fee of 100 euro from Humboldt University.
