On 5 August, the University Park will provide the setting for an excitement-filled road race – the ASC Grand Prix – featuring 250 cyclists from the Danish elite and youth teams. The event is being organised for the first time by Aarhus Studenternes Cykelklub (the Aarhus student cycling association) with support from Aarhus University, AU Sport, and the Danish Cycling Federation.

The race starts at the Social Sciences canteen and follows a 1.5 km circular route along Bartholins Allé, Wilhelm Meyers Allé, Ole Worms Allé, Karl Verners Vej and Victor Albecks Vej, which will all be closed on 5 August.

If you usually park in or around the University Park, please be aware that some car parks and access roads will be closed in connection with the race.

To ensure that people can access the buildings in the University Park regularly and safely during the race, there will be four staffed crossing points along the route.

Check the map and list below to see which areas will be closed and where you can cross the route. There will also be signs to mark the closures and crossing points on the day. The closures indicated on the map/list are subject to change.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask the volunteers at the race.
