If so, now is the time to share the call for applications for new AIAS fellowships. Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) at Aarhus University has just opened a call for five thematic fellowships each within the areas ‘Inequality in Health’ and ‘Democracy and Digital Citizenship’ – in collaboration with ‘PIREAU - the Platform for Inequality Research at Aarhus University’ and ‘SHAPE - the Research Centre for Shaping Digital Citizenship.’

Applicants should apply for an AIAS-PIREAU or an AIAS-SHAPE fellowship with an individual research project, and, since the overall aim of the initiative is to optimise interdisciplinary inspiration and synergy, the successful applicants should be prepared to be challenged by and to collaborate with other AIAS fellows. During their research stay in Aarhus, the ten research fellows will therefore also receive training in collaborating across disciplines.

The ten research fellowships are open to applications from all subject areas, from all around the world, and from all academic career stages – from postdoc to professor. The fellowship period is from 1 September 2023 until 30 June 2024.

AIAS has also opened a call for visiting fellowships aimed at international researchers on sabbaticals who wish to spend their sabbatical in an inspirational, interdisciplinary environment in which researchers from all faculties challenge perspectives, methods, theories and customary ways of thinking.

AIAS encourages all AU researchers to share these calls in their international network.
