Power, Climate and Cybersecurity: Meet AU at Denmark’s Political Festival
Aarhus University will be well represented at this year’s Folkemøde, Denmark’s annual political festival on Bornholm, where AU researchers will be sharing their expertise on the pressing issues of our time.
Are you going to Denmark’s Political Festival on Bornholm? Swing by the AU Research Vessel Aurora, which will be docked at berth H6 in Allinge Harbour from 11 to 13 June. The ship provides an inspiring setting for AU researchers to discuss some of society’s greatest challenges with decision makers, partners, and voices from business and industry.
This year, one of the topics will be power and powerlessness based on the Danish Democracy and Power Study 2.0, which is investigating the strengths and challenges of Danish democracy. Due to Bornholm’s geographically exposed location, leadership and public safety are also on the agenda, as well as discussions about ultra-processed food led by doctors and industry professionals.
Can you make clothes out of CO2
Beyond Aurora, AU will be represented in the Tech tent, where hackers, researchers and public authorities will discuss cyber security and the future of our healthcare system as technology continues to play an increasingly large role in patient care.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center (CORC) will have its own tent at the G13 CarbonForum, where climate challenges and the role researchers can play in solving them will take centre stage. For example, can carbon dioxide be stored underground or used to make clothes and other materials?
These are just a few of the topics AU researchers will discuss at Denmark’s Political Festival. Learn more and see which debates interest you at AU.dk/Folkemøde.
