Ukranian researchers to be offered academic refuge in Denmark

A new initiative allows displaced researchers from Ukraine to apply for a fellowship at a Danish university, including Aarhus University.

A joint initiative by 3 major Danish foundations, (Novo Nordisk Foundation, Carlsberg Foundation and Villum Foundation) and Universities Denmark offer opportunities to Ukrainian researchers affected by the war in their homeland.

The new initiative enables remote scholarships as well as fellowships for approx. 24 researchers affected by the war in Ukraine to continue their academic research at a Danish university.

The initiative will be hosted under Scholars at Risk and will go by the name “Scholars at Risk Ukraine” (SARU).

Applications are to be received before 30th of September 2022.
