Summer exams: Change to exam schedule
All written on-site exams in Aarhus and Herning this summer will start an hour later than originally planned – apart from exams on the engineering degree programme admission course. AU has reached this decision after discussions with Midttrafik. Updated exam schedules will be ready this week.
Aarhus University is currently adjusting the exam schedule for written on-site exams in Aarhus and Herning so that all exams in these locations – apart from entrance exams – start an hour later than originally planned. This means that the first on-site exam of the day will start at 10:00 instead of 09:00, and all subsequent exams will be moved back one hour.
The decision has been made to ensure that students have the best possible transport options to reach AU’s new exam hall, which will be the venue for all written on-site exams in Aarhus from 1 May. AU has been in dialogue with Midttrafik and believes that, by moving the start time from 09:00 to 10:00, students travelling to their exams will benefit from greater capacity on public transport.
The change applies to all written on-site exams in Aarhus and Herning, because there is some overlap between the exams taken in these two locations.
- The updated exam schedules can be found on the study portals
- The students will also receive a direct notification from WISEflow in their AU inbox a week before their exam, which will confirm when and where their exam will be held.
Which exams are affected?
- The change applies to all written on-site exams on all exam days in both Aarhus and Herning
- The change applies to the summer exam season and the upcoming winter exam season
- The change does not apply to entrance exams, as these are held according to a national schedule.
- The change does not apply to written on-site exams in AU Viborg.
Taking an on-site exam in the new exam hall?
The Exam Hall opens at 08:00 on all exam days and students can check in for their first exams from 09:00. It’s always a good idea to leave plenty of time for the exams. Students can reach the exam hall by bus or light rail, but can also use the new commuter bike path, which takes them right to the door.
- Students can see all their transport options at studerende.au.dk/eksamenshus.
