Annual cycle

All year AU Pure validates submitted published publications. In addition, AU Pure continuously imports ready-to-validate publications from Scopus to make more Pure data / management information available faster.
January 15th The submission deadline in Pure is 15 January every year. All published publications from the previous year must be fully registered and sent for validation before the deadline.
Mid-February "February communication". The communication has emphasis on all publications being submitted and registered, and that scientific status (category and peer review) is correctly stated.
March 2nd Extract to AU Key Statistics. AU Pure delivers data regarding AU's scientific production to the AU Department of Economics, which is used in the university's annual report and AU Key Statistics. The extract is based on validated publications.
Early March Harvest for the Open Access Indicator.  The scope is peer-reviewed, scientific publications and conference proceedings or journals with ISSN published two years earlier.
Mid-April Publication of Open Access Indicator. The indicator is produced and released annually by the Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education. See the numbers.
Early November "November communication" is sent to the department management as a reminder that the submission deadline is approaching, as well as a call to make sure all publications are submitted, and to check that submitted publications that do not have status of published.
Early November - Late February The departments follow-up on the recommendations in "November communication" and "February communication". This means checking that all publications have been reported and categorized correctly.
