Summer exams: Are you ready for the new exams system?
Starting with this year’s summer exams, all exams at AU will be conducted in WISEflow, the university’s new digital exam system. Read on to find out how to prepare.
This summer, all exams at AU will be conducted in the new university-wide exam system, WISEflow. This system has replaced Digital Exams at Arts, Health, Nat and Tech. At Aarhus BSS, the new solution replaces an previous version of the same system; the new WISEflow at Aarhus BSS is very similar to the previous solution students and staff at the faculty were used to.
To sign in to the new university-wide WISEflow system, click this link. You will be able to see your exams in the system in May/June. You will receive an email from WISEflow when the assessment period begins.
You’ll find the information you need to get started in WISEflow on the support webpage, au.dk/wiseflow. The page contains how-to guides, an overview of introductory courses and support team contact info. In the meantime, you can also test-drive the assessment process in WISEflow using the system’s test function (‘demo flow’), which you’ll find at the bottom of the system’s landing page.

Good to know about WISEflow
- In WISEflow, you can only register students’ grades within the assessment deadlines specified in the system. Read more about how the assessment process works on the support webpage.
- Students’ exam papers are only saved in WISEflow for one year, in compliance with GDPR regulations. If you need to save an exam paper after this period, remember that you need the prior consent of the student to download and store their paper.
What about the students?
- Students will receive information about the new system by AU email and on their study portals. They will get a mail from WISEflow in their AU inbox when their exams have been set up.
- Students can access how-to guides and other useful resources on the support webpage studerende.au.dk/wiseflow.
- Students taking on-site written exams need to install some additional applications on their computer first: The Lockdown Browser (except students at Arts) and Device Monitor (only selected students at Aarhus BSS). The students will be informed about this well in advance of their exams.
