Here you can buy food:

In the University Park
The Aarhus BSS Canteen is the central meeting point if you’re feeling hungry. It is located in building 1321 in the University Park. It will soon be modernized to make it more inviting, including smaller booths, new wall coverings, and a new entrance closer to the northern passage to the University City. The renovation will begin in June 2026 and continue throughout the summer.

In the University City
In addition to the existing places to buy food, there are now also options available in the University City:

You can buy food at “Kitchen,” Universitetsbyen 76, building 1860. Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Café outlets: You will find two café outlets in the Main Auditorium (building 1790, open 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and in building 1791 (open 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM). In addition to regular daytime café service, the two outlets also offer a “grab-and-go” option after hours, where you can pick up sandwiches, salads, and coffee, among other items.
Food truck: As a supplement, a food truck will be set up near building 1800 at some point during spring 2026 and remain until approximately 2027.

The canteen called “Spisestedet” is expected to open in the University City at the start of the semester in January 2027 in building 1822 and will be open from 7:45 AM – 6:15 PM. Spisestedet will also host themed days, communal dining, and various events, including social dining, which is a dining experience where guests share common dishes instead of ordering individual meals. Until Spisestedet opens, you can try social dining at the Aarhus BSS Canteen.

Take food home
In the future, it will also be possible to order the dish of the day to take home via the FOOD@AU app. It will be packed and ready for you in the canteen when you leave. Finally, you can also buy frozen meals to take home.
