Vote in the university elections and have a say

You can now vote in the 2015 university elections. Use your right to vote and influence who will become members of the AU board and the four academic councils. The deadline to vote is 26 November at 16:00!

You can benefit by participating actively in the university elections. By voting, you show your support for the candidate you want to represent you and your interests e.g. on the University Board.  This year, all members of staff can vote for representatives to AU’s board and members of faculty staff can vote for representatives to the academic councils.

How to vote

You can vote electronically during the election period from 23 November at 9:00 to 26 November at 16:00. Log on to the system with your civil registration number and password for Self-service (mit.au.dk). You cannot vote by post or by paper ballot.

The University Board

The board is the supreme authority at AU and consists of 11 board members. Two of the board members are elected by and among the academic staff and one board member is elected by and among the university’s technical and administrative staff.  The agenda for the University Board meetings contains topics such as AU’s budget and strategy as well as development trends in general. 

The academic councils

The academic councils e.g. discuss the faculty’s strategy, budgets or recruitment policies including internal allocation of funding and matters concerning research, talent development, education and knowledge exchange.
