What can be edited in Quick Editor?

  1. Profile photo
  2. Add areas of expertise
  3. Add profile links
  4. Link to CV
  5. Add profile texts
  6. Edit saved profile texts

We’ll walk you through how to edit the different kinds of information below.

1. Edit profile photo

If you want to add a different photo, tap the pencil in the upper right corner of the photo you want to replace.

You’ll now be prompted to upload a new photo that will replace the old one.

Click ‘Select file’ and select the photo you want to use on your personal webpage

If you’re satisfied with the way it looks, click ‘Save’ to save the new photo to your profile.

Note that the new profile photo will replace the old one. This means you will need to upload the original photo again if you change your mind.

2. Add areas of expertise

Click ‘Add areas of expertise’ to add up to five areas of expertise to your personal webpage.

Note that there’s a 35-character limit on each xx description. You won’t be able to save the text if it’s too long. You should also make sure you fill out the xx field in Danish and English.

When you’re done, make sure to click ‘Save’ to save your changes.

3. Add profile links

You have the option to add links to a variety of platforms to your profile. Start by clicking ‘Add profile links’

Now you can add links to different platforms to your profile. REMEMBER to start each link with https:// (with the exception of ORCID ID – all you need here is your ORCID ID).

Click ‘Save’ after you have added links to the desired online profiles.

4. Upload CV

If you do have an online CV, you can link to it from your personal webpage. If it’s not online already, you can get help to create an online version.

If you already have an online CV, start by clicking ‘Upload CV’.

Insert a link to your CV and click ‘Save’. Remember to start the link with http:// .

If you don’t have an online CV already, you can upload a PDF version of your CV at https://cvupload.au.dk/. Then follow the steps above to link to your new online CV from your personal webpage . How to use https://cvupload.au.dk/ to create an online CV

5. Add profile texts

You have the option of adding a number of different profile texts to your personal webpage . Which kinds of profile texts we recommend you add differs slightly depending on whether you’re an academic staff member (VIP) or technical/administrative staff member (TAP).

Click ‘+ Add profile texts’ to get started

You’ll see a number of different options for profile texts you can add. We recommend that academic staff members add profile texts under the headings Research, Education, Collaborations and Consulting. But it’s up to you to decide which and how many texts you want to add to your profile.

For now, let’s pretend that you’ve decided to add a profile text about your research. First, click ‘Research’.

Now you can insert a text describing your research. It’s a good idea to keep your text short: no more than 500 characters is best. As you type, you’ll be able to see how many characters you’ve used, and you’ll see a warning if you exceed 500. You can still save and use a text that’s longer, however.

Remember to include both an English and a Danish version, and remember to save your text.

To add texts under the other headings, follow the same procedure.
