The Kitchen is open

The Kitchen opened last week in the central kitchen in the former municipal hospital. The facility is part of AU's overall business initiative and it will serve as the focal point for a wide range of activities on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The opening doubled as a welcome reception for AU's new director of Enterprise and Innovation, Lone Ryg Olsen, who will be in charge of business collaboration and The Kitchen.

The event attracted a full house, with more than 300 guests. Among the speakers were Rector Brian Bech Nielsen, Pro-rector Berit Eika, Mayor Jacob Bundsgaard, Chairman of the Regional Council Anders Kühnau, Vice President Lars Aagaard from Grundfos and, not least, the new director of Enterprise and Innovation Lone Ryg Olsen.

Large increase in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowships for AU

The Research Executive Agency has just announced the winners of the annual Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships. The fellowships are a development programme targeted at researchers with more than four years of experience.

This year, Aarhus University received 23 fellowships, 13 more than last year and the highest number in the last five years.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship programme attracts foreign talents, as it is designed to give researchers an opportunity to develop their careers abroad. The 23 fellows will be assigned a supervisor and a research area at AU.

The faculties will be holding master classes on 12-14 May:
