Niels Haldrup has been employed at the Department of Economics and Business Economics since 1993. In 1999, he was appointed full professor and since 2007, he has headed the research centre CREATES, which was co-funded by the Danish National Research Foundation until 1 April 2017. Dean and current acting Head of Department Thomas Pallesen is very pleased that Niels has accepted the position as acting head of department and that he will apply for the position as head of department when it is posted later this year:

“Niels is a very strong scholar with a great research and teaching record, and he brings in very valuable experience as section leader and research centre leader. I’m not only very happy that Niels will take the position, but I’m also confident that he is the right person to take on this important and challenging position. I hope that the entire department will support Niels in his efforts to lead the department and preserve its present strengths and exploit its many potentials.”

In the coming week, Niels Haldrup will be arranging section meetings where he will inform about his decision and his plans for the department.
