Do you need legal advice?

If you cannot use one of AU’s fast-track agreements, you can get personal legal advice from the TTO to help you draw up, negotiate relevant research collaboration agreements to use in your research project.

When you contact TTO

So that we can help you in the best way possible, please provide us with the following information about your project when you contact us:

  • Project description
  • Budget
  • Any relevant information about project funding
  • Any relevant information about personal data (GDPR)

How we handle your enquiry
Once we receive your email, we’ll send you a confirmation, and one of our legal advisers will contact you as soon as possible to arrange the process going forward.

It’s not possible to say exactly how long it will take until the agreement is ready to sign. This will depend on factors such as the complexity of the project, the number of parties involved, their response time, and the starting point for the negotiations.

Please note that it is your head of department who approves and signs the final agreement.

GDPR- does your project include personal data?

The TTO can also help you prepare the relevant valid consent to data processing agreements, including shared data responsibility agreements, data processing agreements, disclosure agreements and transfers.

So that we can help you in the best way possible, we need to know the actual practices in your research project  – including e.g. what type of personal data your project includes, sharing personal data with external parties (data flow), legal basis as well at the purpose(s) of processing of personal data. See what you need to be aware of before, during and after a research project involving personal data.
