Circle U. is continously developing new projects and opportunities for employees and students at the alliance universitities. On this page you can get an overview of offers that might be relevant for you. The page is updated regularly.

 

Offers for researchers and PhD students

Guest lectures at a Circle U. partner university

As a researcher at a Circle U. university, you have ample opportunity to give a guest lecture at one of the universities of the alliance. It could be under the auspices of the three knowledge hubs (climate, democracy or global health), who are working to further develop the academic collaboration between the universities.


Mobility grants for researchers at Arts and Health

Arts and Health offer academic staff members at assistant professor level and above the possibility of applying for a travel grant for visits to other Circle U. universities. The grants are up to DKK 20,000 for individuals (and up to DKK 50,000 to groups at Arts). In relation to group travels, students are also eligible for travel grants.


Female Founder Network for entrepreneurs

Circle U. is planning to establish a network for female entrepreneurs (researchers and students). The female founder network will be run under the auspices of the Circle U. har planer om at etablere et netværk for kvindelige iværksættere (både forskere og studerende). Female Founder Network will be run under the auspices of the Student-led Sustainable Innovation work package

PhD course (Summer school 2024)

UCLouvain in Belgium is offering a summer school on global health for PhD-students from all disciplines. The summer school takes place 1–6 July (plus online sessions in the Fall).

The application deadline is 29 February. 

The course is free of charge for AU students, and if you are accepted, you can apply for an Erasmus grant to cover some of your travel and living expenses.

When you know if you've been accepted, you can write to erasmus@au.dk to learn more about how to apply for a scholarship.

The Circle U. Seed Funding Scheme

As a researcher, you can now apply for seed funding for educational and research projects that involve at least three Circle U. alliance partners. You can apply for up to EUR 10,000 per project. 

The application deadline is 15 October 2024. 

Offers for students

Sign up for courses at a Circle U. university

Students at the universities in Circle U. can sign up for courses at the other universities in the alliance. Circle U. focuses on four academic fields - Climate, Global health, Democracy, and Language and culture - but you can only sign up for courses in other fields at AU's eight Circle U. partner .

If you find a course that you're interested in, please contact the international coordinator at your degree programme (via your study portal).


Female Founder Network for entrepreneurs

Circle U. is planning to establish a network for female entrepreneurs (researchers and students). The female founder network will be run under the auspices of the Circle U. har planer om at etablere et netværk for kvindelige iværksættere (både forskere og studerende). Female Founder Network will be run under the auspices of the Student-led Sustainable Innovation work package

Help make Circle U. better for students

Circle U. is backed by the student network Circle U. Student Union (CUSU), which consists of student representatives from all Circle U. universities. CUSU protects the students’ interests and participates in various decision-making bodies  to ensure that the students have a say in the strategic direction of Circle U. 

Apply for funding via Circle U.'s Seed Funding Scheme

Students at Circle U. universities can now apply for up to EUR 5,000 for student political study trips, development of cultural activities, podcasts, etc. The projects must involve partnres from at least 3 Circle U. universities.

Circle U. Model United Nations

Circle U. Model United Nations (CU. MUN) is a simulation game where you can try your hand at diplomacy and international relations together with other European students. The theme of this year's CU. MUN is AI.

CU. MUN takes place on 10-14 December 2024 in Bruxelles. Over the course of 4 intense days, you will get to present, negotiate and debate your views on some of the world's biggest AI-related challenges in an international and exciting environment.

  • Who can apply: Bachelor’s and Master’s students from all academic fields
  • Date of the event: 10-14 December 2024 plus 5 compulsory online training sessions before the event
  • Costs: 100 euros for Circle U. students. The first four participants from Aarhus University (first come, first served as registered by the organisers) will receive funding in the amount of 79 Euro per day plus a travel allowance of 150 Euro.You will be informed by the organisers of Circle U. MUN directly if you qualify to receive funding!
  • Registration deadline: Beginning of September (exact dates will follow)
