TTO FAST-TRACK AGREEMENTS – AVOID THE WAIT ...
… by using the fast-track agreements available on the TTO website. Our fast-track options are actually old news - however we have now updated our website with more and better guidance on how and when to use them.

What is a fast-track agreement?
If you need to enter into research collaboration agreement with an external party (commercial/non-commercial), you can often use one of the TTO's fast-track agreements with pre-approved legal standard terms (except within the clinical research area).
Anette Poulsen Miltoft, head of the TTO, had the following to say about fast-track agreements: “We hope that the AU TTO fast-track agreements will provide you and your external partners with a well-balanced legal basis for your collaboration without requiring that you spend time negotiating an agreement yourselves. The fast-track agreements are especially useful for 1:1 collaborations.”
The agreements are ready to use and can be signed by departments and centres at AU without the involvement of TTO (all we need is a copy of the signed agreement).
The fast-track agreements and the guidelines for using them can be found on the TTO website.
What type of fast-track agreements are available?
- Agreements on co-financed research with a company or an academic institution (or other non-commercial entities)
- Agreement on commissioned research (and other income-generating activities)
- Non-disclosure agreement (NDA) - you can use this if you wish to enter into discussions about a possible collaboration with an external partner (i.e. pre-collaboration) in which confidential information will or might be exchanged
- Student agreements for student projects or internships
If you cannot use any of the fast-track agreements, you are as always welcome to contact the TTO.
Please spread the word to your colleagues.
